Who We Are
Founding the Herd
I knew exactly which goats I wanted to start with. It only felt right to return to the place where it all began Twin Pear Farms in Southern Oregon.
In February of 2022, after months of planning and saving, I made the cross-country trip back to pick up three very special does: June, Liane, and Tiny Raindrop. These girls were the foundation of everything I’d dreamed of. I packed them into an SUV, and together we made our way from Oregon to Virginia just me, the goats, and a big vision for the future.
That drive was the beginning of Great Length Goats. Those three goats became the heart of the farm, the start of our herd, and the soul behind what would grow into Mirth & Milk.
Three years later, the herd has expanded, the vision has blossomed, and what was once a dream is now a full-fledged operation one built on love, resilience, and a whole lot of goat snuggles.
